Welcome to Rouvy.com and related applications Rouvy Desktop, Mobile and Tablet application, PowerTap Mobile, Magura Mobile, O-Synce Mobile, Bulls Mobile – (collectively “Rouvy,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”).
VirtualTraining s.r.o. is the creator of the ROUVY application. The mission pursued by the VirtualTraining s.r.o. team is to provide users with simulated outdoor cycling routes for competitions and training sessions on bike trainers. Thanks to ROUVY, racing is more attractive and training is more productive. ROUVY is a product aiming to function as a centralized application aggregating an all-inclusive array of cyclo simulator training data on a year-round basis.
We respect your right to privacy. Your ability to make informed choices about the use of your information is important to us. We want to make sure that you understand the type of information we collect about you, how it is used and the safeguards we use to protect it. This Privacy Policy explains our policy regarding the collection, use, disclosure and protection of personal information you share with us.
Before you get to the details, here are a few of our fundamental privacy principles:
- Information you upload or post to Rouvy may be seen by others depending on your privacy settings.
- We aggregate and de-identify certain information about our members to use for business purposes.
- We give you several ways to control the privacy of your personal information and are continuously working to enhance privacy options available to you.

What Information does Rouvy Collect?
The type of information that we collect and retain depends upon your interaction with Rouvy. Here is a short overview of the two main types of interactions.
- Information You Give Us. We collect the personally identifiable information you provide to us:
- Create a user account, place an order, register a product (information we collect is necessary to complete the account registration and transaction and so that we can ensure you Rouvy products and services):
- Username (unique identification)
- Password (security purpose)
- E-mail address (basic communication)
- User Weight (to be able to control the indoor trainer)
- User Height (to be able to control the indoor trainer)
- Date Of Birth (to be able to calculate a default power / heart rate zones, FTP)
- Language
- Country (Tax calculation, Limitation for payment gateways based on the country)
- Requesting product support or other services (information we collect is necessary to, provide support and to respond to queries such as your name and address and information about your computer hardware, software (including your License Number), and the nature of the problem you are experiencing).
- Participate in surveys (information we collect may include demographic information such as age, gender and number of household members).
You have the final decision on whether to proceed with any activity that requests personal information. However, if you do not wish to provide information needed for a transaction, you may not be able to complete it.
- Information Rouvy Collects. When you interact with Rouvy we may maintain a record of the following types of information.
- We collect basic account information such as your name, email address, date of birth, gender, prefered language, country, username and password that helps secure and provide you with access to our Services.
- Profile and use information is collected about you when you choose to upload a picture, activity (including date, time and geo-location information as well as your speed and pace) or post, join a challenge, add your equipment usage, view others’ activities, or otherwise use Rouvy.
- Rouvy collects information from devices where you installed and ran Rouvy App.
- We gather information from the photos, posts, comments, and other content you share on Rouvy, including when you participate in partner events or routes.
- When you make a payment on Rouvy, you may provide payment information such as your payment card or other payment details. We use Payment Card Industry compliant third-party payment services and we do not store your credit card information.
- We collect and process location information when you sign up for and use Rouvy. To record your ride and to provide you with your training statistics and inclusion in the Rouvy’s features (for example, the leaderboard for a route), it is necessary to collect and record the physical location of your device including data such as speed and direction. Processing of your location data is essential to Rouvy which we provide and a necessary part of our performance of the agreement we have with you.
- Rouvy allows you to sign up and log in to Rouvy using accounts you create with third-party products and services, such as Facebook or TrainingPeaks (collectively, “Third-Party Accounts”). If you access Rouvy with Third-Party Accounts we will collect information that you have agreed to make available such as your name, e-mail address, profile information and preferences with the applicable Third-Party Account. This information is collected by the Third-Party Account provider and is provided to Rouvy under their privacy policies. You can generally control the information that we receive from these sources using the privacy settings in your Third-Party Account.
- To help us to provide you with the best possible service, you can choose to provide us with your contact information so we can better respond to your support requests and comments.
- We also obtain additional third party information about members from marketers, partners, researchers, and others. We may combine information that we collect from you with information obtained from other members, third parties and information derived from any other subscription, product, or service we provide. We may also collect information about you from other members such as when they give you kudos or comment about you.
- We collect information from your browser, computer, or mobile device, which provide us with technical information when you access or use Rouvy. This technical information includes device and network information, cookies, log files and analytics information.
Why Do We Use Cookies?
Cookies are small data files stored in your browser or device. They can be used by the operator of a website you visit (first-party cookies) or by other entities (third-party cookies). There are two types of cookies based on their duration –”persistent” cookies and “session” cookies. Persistent cookies are stored in your browser and remain active during the set validity period or until they are deleted prior to their expiration. Session cookies remain active until the end of the user’s session, when the browser is closed.
Web beacons are tiny images on websites or in e-mails. They collect information on the browser or the device and may be used to configure cookies.
The local data storage, which includes HTML5 local storage and the browser temporary memory, allows storing data locally in the browser or the device.
The IP address (Internet protocol address) is an address assigned by Internet providers to every computer connected to the Internet. Website owners and service providers have access to the IP address of their users. The IP address can be used by us and by our partners to determine the country, state, and city from which your computer is connected to the Internet. IP addresses are used for IP geolocation purposes, for example Google Analytics services.
SDKs are blocks of code provided by our partners, which can be installed into our mobile
applications. SDKs help us understand how you use our mobile applications, and they collect certain data on the device and network you use to access our applications.
Advertising identifiers are identifiers assigned by mobile devices. They are collected during the use of mobile applications. Advertising identifiers can be collected and shared using SDKs. They function in a similar way as cookies on websites.
Cookies serve for a number of reasons. For example, they allow determining the most popular features, they count the number of website visitors, they improve the comfort of use, they maintain our services safe, and they facilitate a better overall user experience. The cookies we use generally fall into one of the following categories.
Cookie types:
a) Strictly necessary cookies – Also known as essential cookies, these cookies are required for the correct functioning of ROUVY services. Other cookies we use, including strictly necessary cookies, may be first-party cookies or third-party cookies. Their purpose is to ensure consistent user experience and to facilitate functions needed for the correct operation of the www.rouvy.com website.
b) Functional cookies – These cookies allow making recommendations, informing you of events, and improving user comfort during the use of ROUVY. Functional cookies are used to store your settings, preferences, and choices pertaining to the use of ROUVY.
c) Analytical cookies – Analytical cookies are used for collecting information on how you use ROUVY. They help us improve our services and user comfort. Analytical cookies allow monitoring and analysing website traffic, ROUVY use, and understanding the ways in which you use and communicate with the ROUVY application. We use Google Analytics to analyse the ways in which our website is used. Google Analytics is a service that uses cookies to collect website use data. Data collected in regard to the use of the ROUVY website are used to compile website use reports. The Google personal data protection policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Even though most browsers and devices accept cookies as their default setting, the cookie settings can usually be configured to delete or refuse to accept cookies. If you refuse to accept cookies, however, some functions of our services might not work correctly. How Do We Use The Information We Collect?
The personal information we collect is generally used to process your requests and transactions, to provide you with high quality service, to tell you about opportunities we think will be of interest to you, to customize your Rouvy experience and to understand your needs so that we may provide you with the most suitable products and services. For example, we may use your personal information to help us:
- Provide you with information about product upgrades, new products, services, research on future product ideas or improvements;
- Send you marketing communications (where you have agreed to receive such messages)
- Create content that is relevant to you;
- Provide you with special offers that may be of interest to you;
- Assist us in creating better, customized products and services to meet your needs;
- Allow you to purchase and download products, obtain access to services or otherwise engage in activities you select;
- Help you quickly find software, services, or product information important to you;
- Allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you chose to do so; and
- Notify you about changes to our service.
With Whom Do We Share Your Information?
Third Parties
Rouvy does not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties. Under certain circumstances and from time to time, Rouvy may share your personally identifiable information with third parties as set forth below. In such circumstances, we provide only the information necessary to perform the function or to provide the service for which it has been shared. These third parties are required to keep the information confidential and are not permitted to use the personal information provided by us for any purpose, except as authorized by Rouvy.
Rouvy may share your information with third parties such as:
- Service Providers: We may share your personally identifiable information with trusted service providers who provide operational or other support services to our Customers or who perform certain functions on our behalf. Examples include providers who fulfill orders, ship products, process transactions (including credit card transactions), distribute e-mails, conduct research or statistical analysis or provide other marketing assistance. It may be necessary to share user personal information with these service providers in order to allow them to provide their services. You have the right not to provide the requested information, but in such case you may not be able to receive these services. Those service providers will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the service and we require that they keep the personal information of our customers secure and confidential and comply with the Act and all other applicable laws. We also require that these contractors use our customers’ personal information only on behalf of Rouvy and do not disclose them to third parties or use them for any other purpose.
- Other Disclosures: We may share your personally identifiable information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is: a) authorized by law or necessary to comply with a legal process; b) in response to legal claims; c) required to protect and defend the rights, property or legitimate interests of Rouvy (including the enforcement of our agreements); d) necessary to protect personal safety, property or other rights of Rouvy and its customers or employees; or e) an integral part of a sale of all or part of our business.
Consent
By providing us with your personal information when registering to Rouvy or when you obtain or use any of our products or services, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure by Rouvy of your personal information as provided in this Privacy Policy.
Your consent includes the retention of personal information that is collected through Rouvy, including your personal information that you submit through a registration process, for as long as you are a user of Rouvy’ products and services, and for a reasonable time thereafter, unless and until you withdraw your consent. Information associated with your account will generally be kept until it is no longer necessary to provide Rouvy or until you ask us to delete it or your account is deleted whichever comes first.
Information about you that is no longer necessary and relevant to provide our Services may be de-identified and aggregated with other non-personal data to provide insights which are commercially valuable to Rouvy, such as statistics of the use of Rouvy. This information will be de-associated with your name and other identifiers.
Security
Rouvy is committed to maintaining the security of information under our control. We have taken security measures, consistent with industry practices, to protect your personal information. To try to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure correct use of information, we have put in place industry-accepted physical, technical and administrative practices to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of Rouvy, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. To protect the confidentiality of this category of personal information, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person.
Unfortunately, no transmission of information over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to Rouvy from your PC or the Internet Service Provider, and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to ensure its security on our system and to try to prevent unauthorized access.
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. All information is transmitted using secure socket layer (SSL) encryption. Rouvy engages a company that is an industry leader in online security and Services verification to strengthen the security of Rouvy’s Services. Rouvy are registered with site identification authorities so that your browser can confirm Rouvy’s identity before any personally identifiable information is sent. In addition, Rouvy’s secure servers protect this information using advanced firewall technology. We restrict access to personal information about you to those Rouvy employees who need to know the information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
To help ensure that these measures are effective in preventing unauthorized access to your private information, you should be aware of the security features available to you through your browser. You should use a security-enabled browser to submit your credit card information and other personal information at Rouvy. Please note that if you do not use a SSL-capable browser, you are at risk for having data intercepted.
Managing Your Settings
Rouvy offers several features and settings to help you manage your privacy and how you share your activities. The most important is the level of privacy in your privacy settings page. There you can set up the level of publicity of your data. Subject to your privacy settings, your information and content may be publicly accessible.
Adjust Notification and Email Preferences
Rouvy offers various ways to manage the notifications you receive. You can choose to stop receiving certain emails and notifications by indicating your preference at Rouvy Portal Settings. You may also unsubscribe by following the instructions contained at the bottom of each type of email. Any administrative or service-related emails (to confirm a purchase, or an update to this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, etc.) generally do not offer an option to unsubscribe as they are necessary to provide Rouvy you requested.
Updating Account Information
You may correct, amend or update profile or account information that is inaccurate at any time by adjusting that information in your account settings.
Deleting Information and Accounts
You may request that your account is deleted by visiting the user profile settings on Rouvy.
Transmission of Data outside the EU and the European Economic Area
Data we collect from you in the framework of providing ROUVY services may be transmitted to and stored in locations outside your country and the European Economic Area (EEA), specifically in the United States of America, if necessary for providing services and performing the agreement between you and ROUVY.
In transmitting personal data outside the EU, including transmission to our contractors, we rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Other countries may have personal data protection standards that differ from the standards in effect in your country, and we may be required to disclose your data to government authorities in such countries in accordance with local laws and legal procedures, including lawful requests made by public authorities for the purpose of complying with national security or law enforcement requirements.
Personal Data Protection relating to the Personal Data Transmitted betweenEEA and USA
Where we transmit personal data from the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to the United States of America (especially when using cloud repository services), we comply with privacy and personal data protection requirements stemming from rulings of the German data protection authority (MailChimp Case) and the French Supreme Administrative Court (Amazon Web Services Case). We have adopted appropriate measures to guarantee the protection of individuals whose data are transmitted for the above purposes. We guarantee that personal data you provide will not be disclosed to any unauthorized party. Likewise, our contractors are required to adopt the same policy in the framework of our contractual arrangements. We do not use any services liable to jeopardize privacy and personal data protection rights. All contractual arrangements with our contractors are subject to meticulous legal verification to ensure compliance with legal requirements pertaining to privacy and personal data protection.
Where applicable, we guarantee that complaints concerning our processing of your personal data will be handled in accordance with the personal data protection policy. If you are a resident of the EU, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, contact us if you have questions or complaints regarding our compliance with privacy and personal data protection requirements.
Personal Data Protection in the EEA (GDPR)
If you are an EEA resident, you have the right to access your personal data we keep on file and the right to request correction, erasure, and transmission of your personal data. In addition, you have the right to raise objections to certain processing methods and to request processing to be restricted.
If you have provided your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to request from us a copy of such data in a structured, machine-readable format and to request us to share (transmit) your personal data with another data controller.
You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data we keep on file:
- if you consider it unnecessary for us to keep your personal data (for example, if you decide to close your ROUVY account),
- if we process your personal data based on legitimate interests, you object to such processing, and we are unable to demonstrate the existence of an overriding legitimate interest to continue processing your personal data,
- if you provide to us your personal data based on consent, you want to revoke your consent, and there is no other reason based on which we would be allowed to process your personal data, or
- if you believe that our processing of your personal data we keep on file is unlawful.
You have the right to request the processing of your personal data to be restricted (all active processing to be stopped):
- if you believe that your personal data we keep on file are inaccurate, until we verify the accuracy of such data,
- if we intend to erase your personal data because their processing is unlawful, but you want us to keep the data,
- if we no longer need your personal data for our processing purposes, but you request us to keep the personal data for the purposes of determining, exercising, or defending legal claims, or
- if you object to the processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interests, and we are in the process of considering your objections.
In addition to the foregoing rights, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interests, whereupon we will no longer process your personal data unless we demonstrate an overriding legitimate interest. Moreover, you have the right to the correction of or addition to your personal data, the right to the portability of your personal data, the right not to be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling, and the right to revoke consent to personal data processing you have granted.

Kindly keep in mind that the above rights are limited, for example if complying with your request were to have an adverse effect on other persons or the trade secret or intellectual property of VirtualTraining s.r.o., if there exists an overriding public interest, or if the law requires us to store your personal data.
We have implemented appropriate technical, physical, and organizational measures, which have been designed to provide suitable protection of personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, modification, unauthorized disclosure or access, and other forms of unlawful processing. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized recipients who require the relevant data. We maintain a comprehensive information security system, the extent of which is commensurate with risks related to data processing. The system undergoes ongoing improvements with a view to mitigating operational risks and protecting personal data in consideration of processes employed to that effect. We maintain an information security verification system for the purpose of protecting your personal data.

Contacting us does not prejudice your right to file a complaint with the personal data protection authority in the EU country where you reside or work, if you believe that we have breached personal data protection laws. Consent to Personal Data Processing (EU customers)
What is consent to personal data processing?
Consent to personal data processing is a freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of consent you, as a data subject, grant to the processing of your personal data by a making statement or taking a clear confirmatory action to that effect. Consent is an active, voluntary expression of your intent, which you must not be forced to grant.
Consent to personal data processing is one of the legal reasons based on which we are allowed to process your personal data. Consent is required in every case where the reason for processing cannot be classified under the purposes for which the grant of consent is not required.
You may revoke your consent. The revocation of your consent does not necessarily require us to delete your personal data because the revocation of consent pertains to a specific purpose for which personal data are processed, and we might be processing your personal data for other purposes on legal grounds that differ from personal data processing to which you have granted consent. We are required to stop processing your personal data only if your consent constitutes the sole legal grounds for personal data processing.
Your consent to personal data processing is not required for processing your personal data in the following cases:
- processing your personal data is necessary for performing an agreement to which VirtualTraining s.r.o. is a party as the controller of personal data, or for adopting measures at the request of the relevant data subject prior to entering into an agreement,
- processing is necessary for complying with a legal obligation to which VirtualTraining s.r.o. is subject,
- processing your personal data is necessary for protecting your vital interests as a data subject or the vital interests of another person,
- processing your personal data is necessary for performing a task carried out in public interest or as part of the exercise of official authority wherewith may be vested the controller of personal data,
- processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject whose personal data require protection.
You have the right to revoke your consent to personal data processing at any time.
Protection of Personal Data of Children
If you are a parent or the legal guardian of a child and you want to open a ROUVY account for your child, read carefully this section of the personal data processing policy.
If you believe that a child, aged below 13 years (USA) or 16 years (EEA) or below the age at which the law of the state where the child resides restricts independent juridical acts in relation to services corresponding to services provided by the ROUVY application has provided personal data without parental consent, contact us at gdpr@rouvy.com. We will make maximum effort to remove such personal data from our files as soon as possible.
In opening an account for your child, we will ask you to create a user name for your child (choose a name unrelated to your child’s real name) and to provide your child's personal data, such as his/her email address that will serve for sign-in purposes. In addition, we will require your name, surname, relationship to the child (parent or legal guardian), and e-mail address. Kindly note that the e-mail address provided for the purpose of signing in to your child's account must not be associated with an existing ROUVY membership. You or your child will be asked about your child's sex, height, and weight to allow us to calculate training data accurately. In addition, we will collect all information provided by you or by your child for the purposes of adapting your child's profile.
When ROUVY services are used by your child, we collect training data, including the route, pedalling frequency, effort, trip length, overall performance, total calories burned, elevation, and heart rate, provided that your child uses a heart rate sensor. In addition, we collect information on all screenshots taken by your child, completed challenges and missions, your child's experience level, and test results.
Information we collect is used to provide, adapt, and improve our services, to perform user identification, to monitor activities and training, and to provide customer support. In addition, collected data are used for internal purposes, such as troubleshooting, error protection, data analysis and testing, development of new functions and services, and improvement of the safety and security of ROUVY services.
No data relating to ROUVY child accounts are shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties with the exception of the following situations:
- we provide personal data to service providers for data processing based on our instructions, subject to compliance with relevant appropriate measures ensuring confidentiality and security,
- if we take part in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we will continue adopting measures protecting the confidentiality of personal data, and you will be notified before personal data are handed over to the successor company; likewise, we will ensure that your child's personal data remain protected by the legal successor in a situation resulting from any of the abovementioned transactions.
We have the right to disclose your child's personal data if required to comply with laws, regulations, legal procedures, requests made by government authorities, to exercise our legal rights, to defend ourselves against legal claims, and to protect ourselves from unlawful acts.
Being the parent or legal guardian, you have control over your child’s account and you have access to the account. That includes the right to make changes concerning the account.
If you want to stop the further collection or use of information relating to your child, you can revoke your data collection consent by sending an e-mail to gdpr@rouvy.com.
Links To Other Companies
Periodically, Rouvy may contain links to and from websites of our business partners, distributors, resellers, advertisers or other third parties. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies which you should read before you submit any personal data to these websites. We disclaim any liability for the data processing activities of our business partners, distributors and resellers, all of which act as independent data processing controllers.
Co-Branded Websites
We also link to co-branded websites that are maintained by Rouvy and one or more of our business partners. An example of a co-branded website is the Rouvy e-shop. When you submit information to one of our co-branded websites, you may be submitting it to both Rouvy and our business partners. Please note that the privacy policies of these co-branded websites may differ from this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to read the privacy policies on any co-branded website to which you link, and we disclaim any liability for the data processing activities of our business partners which act as independent data processing controllers.
Discussion Groups and Forums
Please remember that information you submit in a discussion group or forum at Rouvy will be deemed public information and is not confidential. There is a risk in such communication venues that various information and data can be collected and used by others. Please be careful and responsible when you are on-line.
Participation in competitions and other organized or co-organized ROUVY events (by VirtualTraining s.r.o.)
By completing and submitting the competition form, the competition participant expresses his/her agreement with the terms of the competition and agrees that the company VirtualTraining s.r.o. will process his/her personal data necessary for participation in the competition up to the extent set forth above in this Policy (hereinafter referred to as "personal data").
The purpose of personal data processing is the organization and management of the VirtualTraining s.r.o. competition, including announcement of the results to the competition participant, information about potential awards in the competition and publication of the competitor's personal data in the media or on the Internet, as well as for the marketing purposes of the administrator and its business partners, i.e. offering of products and services and sending information about the marketing events of these subjects to the competition participant. The provision of personal data and its processing is based on the legitimate interest of VirtualTraining s.r.o. and is necessary for the realization of the competition and the participation of the participant in it, as well as for the fulfillment of the marketing interests of the organizer’s business partners who offer their products and services.
VirtualTraining s.r.o. as the administrator of the personal data, will not share the personal data with any third parties, with the exception of the administrator's business partners, who may use the personal data to contact the participants for the purpose of offering products and services produced by those business partners.
Personal data of the competition participants will be stored and processed for the period necessary for the purpose of processing, but no longer than for a period of 10 years from the last day on which the competition takes place.
Legal rules governing each competition and all relations resulting from it, including the personal data processing are governed by the jurisdiction of the Czech Republic and in connection with the provision of personal data, the competition participant has rights in accordance with Regulation of the European Parliament and the Council (EU) no. 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, general regulation on personal data protection, in particular: a. the right to access personal data; b. the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data; c. the right to erase personal data; d. the right to limit the processing of personal data; e. the right to personal data transfer; and f. the right to contact the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz) if the competition participant believes that his/her personal data is not handled in compliance with legal rules. Changes of Privacy Policy
Rouvy reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Please review it occasionally. If Rouvy makes changes to this Privacy Policy, the updated Privacy Policy will be posted on the Services in a timely manner and, if we make material changes, we will provide a prominent notice. If you object to any of the changes to this Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Services and delete your Rouvy account.
Language
This Privacy Policy was originally prepared in the Czech language. Although Rouvy may provide one or more translations for your convenience, the Czech version will control in the case of any conflict or discrepancy.
